Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Announces Major Updates With Project NEXT
By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|June 8, 2024|0 Comment
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is gearing up for a significant evolution in mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) gameplay. Casual players and hardcore esports fans alike can look forward to exciting changes, including an overhauled equipment system and gameplay reworks, as part of the Project NEXT initiative launching this month.
Project NEXT, MLBB’s annual in-game campaign held each June, reveals upcoming gameplay optimisations and balance adjustments based on player feedback. This initiative aims to enhance the experience for all players, offering immersive and dynamic gameplay like never before.
The revamped equipment system will introduce a more fluid and dynamic playstyle, featuring a new adaptive attribute that allows heroes greater flexibility. This change builds on the emblem revamp from last year, further optimising all hero roles and introducing new specialised equipment for the next MLBB hero. Additionally, streamlined effects and equipment purchasing will help newcomers ease into the game.
Ranked players will still face intense challenges, with each lane receiving adjustments to create new match patterns. Some heroes will gain advantages from these changes, allowing for more flexible strategies. For instance, the new Thunder Belt item will deal additional true damage based on Hybrid Defence and permanently increase Hybrid Defence when hitting enemy heroes. More details will be revealed soon.
Players can also look forward to a new, mysterious, and beautiful hero who can grant wishes and control teamfights, sure to enchant all who encounter her.
With over 1.4 billion installations and 105 million monthly active users, MLBB is one of the top mobile MOBA games globally, boasting strong communities in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. After nearly eight years, MLBB continues to innovate in esports, with new changes to its community-focused league. Download MLBB on the Apple iOS Store and Google Play Store, and enjoy playing anywhere, anytime on your mobile device.
