Bandai Namco has rolled out Tekken 8 update 1.05 today, bringing a host of fundamental adjustments to the game’s core mechanics, character rebalancing across the board and a resolution to various minor issues. The 1.05 patch notes will be available starting 10 June, 7:oo pm (PDT / 11 June, 10:00 am (MYT).
Highlights from the 1.05 update include major overhauls to the fundamental gameplay elements. Adjustments have been made to the Rage Arts in Tekken 8, fine-tuning damage output and properties for a more uniform performance in matches. The dynamics of breakable stage elements, such as walls and floors, have been modified. These changes aim to prevent specific throws from causing floor breaks and to bring in new interactions with walls.
Additionally, the Heat System has seen some balancing, with more precise adjustments made to the capabilities and behaviours of Heat Burst, Heat Smash, and Heat Dash. The update also refines the invulnerability frames for Heat Engager moves to make the gameplay more equitable.

The update adds wide-ranging adjustments on the character-specific front. Eddy’s changes focus on increasing recovery time for certain actions and enhancing hitbox alignment for a more competitive edge. Feng’s hitbox precision and damage scaling have been fine-tuned, along with improvements to his Heat Engager and Back Swing Blow techniques.
Hwoarang now offers a more uniform aggressive playstyle, thanks to revisions to his Rage Art and various stances. Jack-8 has received modifications for increased control during gameplay, while Jin benefits from improved hitbox alignment, damage consistency, and adjustments to his Zen stance and Rage Art.
Moreover, the 1.05 update delivers technical improvements and bug fixes. Notably, the process for measuring PC performance at the game’s startup and the issue of graphics settings resetting has been streamlined. An innovative feature that automatically adjusts graphics settings downward for subsequent matches if the processing load becomes too heavy during online battles has been introduced, aiming to boost performance stability for PC players.
