Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves Adds Billy Kane To The Mix; Ditches Bandana For Ray-Bans

SNK has announced a new addition to the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves roster. And he’s in a rotten mood.

Entering the fray is Billy Kane, whom you may know if you’ve been playing a lot of KOF games. He’s British, he fights with a staff that sets people on fire, and has great poking and footsie tools. In the new Fatal Fury game, he ditches his bandana for a new look, and now runs the late Geese Howard’s criminal organization. However, he has set his sights to dealing with Terry Bogard personally as he allegedly killed him.

Gameplay-wise, he still retains his special moves and Desperation Moves from past Fatal Fury/KOF titles, though he now has EX moves that hit on the ground, allowing Billy to continue his assault and combos for extra damage from hard knockdowns.

“Loyal right-hand man to the infamous Geese Howard. Despite already assuming control of the late kingpin’s organization (the Howard Connection), Billy nevertheless finds himself brooding over how to lead his bereaved family of associates into a new era. Amidst all the darkness and turmoil, at least one thing is still crystal clear: he has a bone to pick with Terry Bogard, the man who took his revered master’s life in the first place.

Of course, if you have been kept abreast with your Fatal Fury lore, Terry did try to save Geese from falling off Geese Tower, but the kingpin refused and let himself plummet to his death. So it’ll be interesting to see how Billy’s story plays out in the game’s Arcade/Story mode. Oh, and whether he will still hunt down Joe Higashi for dating his sister Lilly Kane without his permission.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be out in Early 2025 for PC and consoles.
