Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Trailer Showcases More Omnimovement
By Lewis Larcombe|August 27, 2024|0 Comment
As excitement builds for the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 this October, fans got an adrenaline-packed sneak peek at the game’s new Omnimovement system in a freshly dropped multiplayer reveal trailer. The upcoming title promises a thrilling experience with 16 original multiplayer maps, two zombie maps, and a campaign set in the early ’90s, continuing the narrative from Black Ops Cold War and Black Ops 2.
Omnimovement, a groundbreaking feature in Black Ops 6, revolutionises player mobility, allowing for movement in any direction—whether you’re walking, sprinting, sliding, or diving. This new mechanic has sparked lively debates within the Call of Duty community. Some are eager to master the fresh dynamics, while others are wary of the learning curve it introduces. Notably, Omnimovement isn’t confined to multiplayer; it will also be integral to the campaign and Zombies modes, and it can’t be disabled.
The trailer, released just two months ahead of the game’s 25 October launch, showcases Omnimovement in all its glory. From characters diving to dodge tomahawks to sliding down escalators under fire, the trailer is a testament to the new system’s high-octane potential.
Fans also got a taste of the variety of battlegrounds awaiting them. The trailer highlights several maps, including an American suburban strip mall complete with ’90s nostalgia like a Freedom Fried Chicken and a video store, a luxurious island mansion, and a chaotic scene centred around a massive damaged satellite dish. Each map offers a unique arena to put Omnimovement to the test.
For those itching to jump in early, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has plenty of pre-order incentives, including a four-skin operator pack, the five-weapon Mastercraft Collection, and access to Season 1’s mysterious Blackcell pass. Additionally, an open beta is scheduled from 6 to 9 September, with an exclusive early access window for pre-order customers starting on 30 August. These betas will be the first chance for players to get their hands on the much-anticipated Omnimovement system.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is gearing up to be a game-changer—literally and figuratively—this fall.
