Honkai Star Rail 2.5 Update Wraps Up New Flying Aureus Story Arc This September

HoYoverse has unveiled details in its next story chapter of space JRPG Honkai Star Rail.

The new 2.5 update will continue the current Xianzhou Luofu storyline; the new chapter is titled “Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue”. The update will add in new characters Feixiao, Lingsha, and Moze, alongside new events and story quests.

Feixiao is a Hunt character aligned with the Wind element. She can switch between her battle axe and gunblade during combat; the axe deals more damage generally while the gunblade deals more damage to enemies who have been Elemental-broken.

Lingsha is an Abundance user aligned with Fire. She uses incense to heal others while also weakening enemies. She can summon a cute incense beast named Fu Yuan to act as support units that can dispel one debuff from all allies as well as restore HP, though they only last a few turns. Her overworld skill lets her start her turn with Fu Yuan and the Befog debuff on enemies.

Moze is a Hunt character aligned with Lightning. He can mark targets and deal additional damage while in a Departed state. While in that state, he can follow-up attacks dealt by other party members.

Feixiao will be available in Phase 1 of the 2.5 update character banner, while Lingsha is in Phase 2.

Players can also fight a Shadow version of Feixiao as a special boss in the 2.5 update. You’ll be fighting a giant wolf dragon thing alongside shadow Feixiao in a tough fight with major rewards. Other activities include the Luminary Wardance Ceremony where the Trailblazer (you) team up with Luka and fight a bunch of opponents in a martial arts tournament.

Honkai Star Rail 2.5 update will be out for PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices on 11th September.
