Kaiju No. 8 Gears Up for Return with Season 2

The Defense Force gears up once more, as the upcoming season of Kaiju No. 8 has its release window announced in an exciting new teaser trailer, which showcases the familiar and new Kaijus that the organization will have to faced.

Season 2 of Kaiju No. 8 is set to continue from the gripping cliffhanger that saw Kafka Hibino, capable of turning into a Kaiju himself, being detained. Awaiting a critical meeting while in military custody, particularly with Isao Shinomiya, the Defense Force’s Director General.

What’s more, fans can anticipate a special standalone episode titled “Hoshina’s Day Off” and a compilation of Season 1, offering a chance to revisit the high-tension moments of the series, set to premiere next year.

The first season of Kaiju no 8 aired on 13 April 2024 and the anime adapted chapters 1 to 38 of the manga. The anime takes its story by artist Naoya Matsumoto, published by Shueisha on Shonen Jump+ since 2020, and has reached 13 tankoubon volumes by July 2024.

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 is slated for debut in 2025. Check out the teaser trailer below.
