Shadow Of The Road Is A New Steampunk Samurai-Themed CRPG From The Publisher Of Pathfinder

Publisher Owlcat Games and developer Another Angle Games have announced Shadow Of The Road, an artful blend of CRPG and turn-based combat set in alternative 19th-century Japan.

Shadow Of The Road is among the first titles being published by Owlcat Games and embodies the features that the new publishing arm is built on: complex and interesting characters, deep narrative, unique setting, and turn-based combat mechanics. The game will launch on PC via Steam.

Owlcat Games is a developer and publisher with a passion for RPGs and narrative-driven games. They are best known for developing the Pathfinder games and 2023’s Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader. Meanwhile, Another Angle Games is a game development studio created by enthusiasts with experience in gaming and post-production.

Shadow of the Road is a story-driven, turn-based RPG where feudal Japan meets magic and machines. Players will assemble their team from a diverse set of characters and test their skills against yokai and steampunk contraptions.
