The Mobile Pokémon Trading Card Game For Phones Has An Official Release Date

If you want to take your Pokémon trading card game shenanigans on the go, you don’t have to wait too darn long.

The Pokémon Company has announced the official release date of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app for Southeast Asian regions: 30th October. Pokémon fans can start pre-registration via App Store and Google Play right now.

For those who don’t know, the Pokémon Trading Card Game is basically Magic: The Gathering but with Pokémon (and its own set of rules and gameplay flow). It’s lasted long enough since its 1996 debut to have its own offline scene up until now, specifically the Pokemon TCG World Championships that have been hosted annually since 2004.

This game lets you easily collect Pokémon cards, which players all over the world enjoy.

Creatures Inc., the original developer of Pokémon TCG, is challenging itself to create expressions and visual effects for cards in new ways that are only possible digitally.

Players will be able to enjoy the experience of collecting. They will be able to open two booster packs every day at no cost, and they can collect cards with nostalgia-inducing illustrations from the past as well as completely new cards exclusive to this game.
