Publisher Headup and developer Dvora Studio have recently unveiled the release date for the survival horror adventure game, The Coma 2B: Catacomb, in an exciting new gameplay trailer.
The game is set in a sinister version of the Sehwa District and serves as a crucial narrative bridge and prequel to The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, expanding the lore of the series. Players will step into the shoes of the protagonist, Youngho, who has narrowly escaped the clutches of the horrifying mirror dimension known as “The Coma” and returned to his school life, only to find that things are not as they seem.
As eerie elements from the mirror dimension begin to infiltrate his reality, Youngho embarks on a chilling adventure to gather the scattered pages of Yaesol’s notes in search of a powerful relic sword to confront the Vicious Sister. His journey becomes even more complex with the unexpected arrival of an invader and a new ally with ties to Yaesol, urging him to uncover the mysteries hidden beneath the Dokaebi Market and face his nemesis once more.
In this Korean survival horror landscape, players must interact with a diverse cast of characters, solve puzzles, and gather clues while evading a cunning psychopath with even more advanced AI than before. The gameplay emphasizes a delicate balance between exploration and survival, where using a flashlight or running can make Youngho an easy target. Players will need to trade items, scavenge for resources, unlock new areas, and evade deadly threats, all presented through vibrant and hand-illustrated visuals.
The Coma 2B: Catacomb is set to be released on 25 October 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
