Marvel Rivals Adds X-Men Psylocke to Its Growing Roster

It seems that the leak was true that another member of the X-Men will be joining Marvel Rivals – Psylocke has arrived as the latest character to be added to the roster.

NetEase Games has confirmed that the rumored character, known for her up-close and personal combat style, will be added to the Marvel Rivals roster. This version of Psylocke is the character Sai, from Peach Momoko’s Demon Days: X-Men, and she’s a master at using her psionic abilities to become a stealthy and agile warrior.

In the game, Psylocke will be equipped with a range of psionic abilities that allow her to outmaneuver her enemies. With her incredible speed and agility, she can dash across short distances and even cloak herself, making her appear invisible before launching a surprise attack. And let’s not forget her ultimate ability, where she unleashes her purple butterfly wings and swiftly takes down all enemies in her path.

What’s even more exciting is that Psylocke will be voiced by the talented Japanese voice actress Alpha Takahashi, known for her work in other popular franchises like Cyberpunk 2077. With the added of Sai, Marvel Rivals will now have a total of 24 characters confirmed.

For those who aren’t familiar with Marvel Rivals, it’s a new superhero team-based PVP shooter that lets players build their own squad of superheroes and supervillains with unique powers. The game features destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse, adding a dynamic element to the battles.

Marvel Rivals is set to launch on 6 December 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, with all heroes unlocked and free to play from day one.
