Netflix Releases Epic Opening Scene From Gundam Requiem For Vengeance
During the Netflix Geeked Week 2024, Netflix unveiled the opening scene for the upcoming Gundam Requiem For Vengeance.
The six-episode (30 minutes each) Gundam Requiem For Vengeance focuses on the European front during the One Year War made famous by the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime. The story centres on Iria Sorari, and the mecha include the Zeon mobile suit Zaku II and the Federation mobile suit Gundam.
Produced in collaboration with SAFEHOUSE using Unreal Engine 5, the series is written by Gavin Hignight, who wrote the animated series “Tekken: Bloodline” and “Transformers: Cyberverse,” as well as the video game “Marvel’s Spider-Man,” and is directed by Erasmus Brosdau, who has also worked on the animated series “Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness” and the video games “Star Citizen,” “Ryse: Son of Rome” and the “Crysis” series.
Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura is the main character designer, and Kimitoshi Yamane (Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, multiple Gundam projects) is the mechanical design supervisor. Wilbert Roget II (Mortal Kombat 11, Call of Duty: WWII, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris games) is composing the music.
Gundam Requiem For Vengeance will premiere on 17 October 2024.
