Street Fighter 6 Sales Go Beyond Four Million Worldwide

Capcom recently announced that Street Fighter 6 has achieved remarkable sales success since its launch on 2 June 2023. The 3D fighting game has globally sold an impressive 4 million copies, outpacing Street Fighter 5, which took nearly four years to reach the same milestone.

The Japanese developer and publisher expressed their gratitude, stating:

“Thank you for playing and for helping us reach this milestone! We hope you’re excited for the future of SF6 as we intend to release more content and hold more events!”

In January 2024, Street Fighter 6 sold three million copies worldwide, contributing to the Street Fighter franchise surpassing 50 million units in cumulative sales.

Street Fighter 6 represents the next step in the series’ evolution and a new era of fighting games, debuting seven years after the previous title. Alongside delivering an outstanding fighting game experience, the fighting game offers enhanced single-player features such as World Tour Mode, an immersive story mode where players journey through the Street Fighter universe. Capcom aimed to attract a diverse player base by introducing the Modern Control Type, a new controller input option designed to help new players execute special attacks using simple button combinations.

Street Fighter 6 is now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
