The Upcoming 2D Power Rangers Beat-Em-Up Will Be Out End Of The Year
Earlier this year, developer Digital Eclipse wowed the 90s pop culture crowd with its take on Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. And it now has a concrete release date.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind will be out on 10 December for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game costs US$34.99 and is being sold as pre-orders with 15% discount.
MMPR: Rita’s Rewind is a 2D pixel graphics beat-em-up with a 3D racing shooter hybrid and first-person mecha combat game jammed-packed into the game for added variety. The game’s main antagonist is not one Rita Repulsa, but TWO of them, the other being a robot clone. Together, they summon a bunch of their classic monster troops to overwhelm the Rangers. So far, the trailers have been giving out good vibes for fans of 90s Megadrive/SNES gaming, which is a niche Digital Eclipse has been hitting with its slew of games.
