Resident Evil 2 Remake Haunts iOS & Mac This December
Capcom’s acclaimed Resident Evil 2 remake is headed to iPhone, iPad, and Mac this December, marking yet another major entry in the series to make the leap to iOS. Following the success of mobile ports for Resident Evil 4, 7, and Village, Resident Evil 2 will arrive on the App Store on 31 December.
The game will be available on iPhone 15 Pro models, iPhone 16, and any iPad or Mac with an M1 chip or newer. As with previous mobile entries, players can dive into the early parts of the game for free, but unlocking the full experience will require an in-app purchase. While Capcom hasn’t revealed the exact price yet, it’s worth noting that Resident Evil 7 and Village are priced at US$20, and Resident Evil 4 costs US$60 on iOS.
Similar to the other mobile ports, an online connection will be necessary to launch the game, so expect the same for Resident Evil 2.
Originally released in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the Resident Evil 2 remake has since expanded to PS5, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch, and Amazon Luna. This iOS release continues Capcom’s push to bring their popular survival horror titles to mobile platforms.
