Here’s Your First Look At Super Nintendo World’s Donkey Kong Country Expansion
Universal Studios Japan is going apes*** over this new Nintendo-branded expansion.
Nintendo and Universal Studios have released a new video showcasing the upcoming Super Nintendo World theme park expansion: Donkey Kong Country. In the video is Nintendo lead game director/producer Shigeru Miyamoto as he gives viewers a tour of the new exhibition.
Standouts of the expansion include:
- Dave Wise’s Jungle Hijinx blares in the background as you enter the DKC entrance.
- A bongo drum play area which requires up to three people to interact with. Match the beats on the lights to have Rambi the Rhino pop up.
- A Jungle Beat Shakes restaurant that serves DK Crush Sundae and DK Wild Hot Dog, exclusive to this section of Universal Studios.
- A DKC merchandise store called Funky’s Fly’n’Buy.
- A guy in Donkey Kong mascot outfit you can take photos with, along with a Cranky Kong and Squawk animatronic in the Golden Temple Mine Cart entrance.
- A Golden Temple Mine Cart Ride rollercoaster, which is fitting given how speedy these segments are in the Donkey Kong Country games.
The Donkey Kong Country expansion will be ready to visit in the Super Nintendo World section of Universal Studios Japan starting 11th December 2024.
