Mortal Kombat 1 Year 3 DLC & Story DLC 2 Allegedly Cancelled; Here’s Why
It’s a sad day for Mortal Kombat fans, as future kontent for the 2D fighting game may be axed.
According to prominent insider FateUnknown, Mortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Pack 3 (the pack with new kharacters) and Story DLC 2 are allegedly kancelled. The chief reason is because Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns and the Year 2 DLC have sold poorly.
FateUnknown is konsistent and konsidered kredible when it comes to Mortal Kombat and NetherRealm Studios leaks, which means this is dire for Warner Bros. Interactive’s chief 2D fighting game series.

Then again, NetherRealms Studio is hard at work on making a new fighting game while all this is going on. Still, it does sting that MK games do not last beyond 2 years like other fighting game franchises despite the star power and DLC additions. Maybe they can resurrect Primal Rage, or just jump straight to an Injustice 3 for that DC Comics cash-in, but that’s just me.
