Every anime and manga enthusiast has likely heard of Animate, the popular Japanese chain store famed for its vast selection of anime, manga, and gaming merchandise. Exciting news is on the horizon as Animate prepares to open its first outlet in Malaysia, specifically at LaLaport BBCC in Kuala Lumpur!
For months, local fans have been buzzing with speculation about Animate’s potential arrival. This excitement ignited after a social media post hinted at a job opening for the upcoming store. The announcement indicated that Animate Malaysia would launch its operations in November, with the consultancy agency World Mode Malaysia handling the recruitment.
What’s more, Cos-Mic, a well-respected anime convention in Malaysia, recently shared an Instagram account believed to be the official page for Animate Kuala Lumpur. While the account primarily features a rendered image of the storefront, it has only heightened fans’ eagerness for more details.
Currently, neither LaLaport BBCC nor Animate Japan has made an official confirmation. However, the excitement among anime fans in Malaysia is palpable. Many have expressed their long wait for this moment, and they can hardly wait to explore the amazing offerings that Animate is set to provide.
Stay tuned as we bring you more updates on this thrilling development and get ready to immerse yourself in the world of anime like never before!
