The Devil Within: Satgat Sets Release Date After Successful Early Access

Indie developer Newcore Games and publisher Astrolabe Games have announced the official release date for The Devil Within: Satgat. After a successful Early Access period that began in April, where the game has been fine-tuned based on player feedback, the full version is set to drop on 21 November 2024. You’ll be able to play it on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.

In this action-packed platformer, you’ll take on the role of Kim Rip, a guy grappling with his own inner battles. When demonic forces invade, Kim, a Royal Guard member, must step up to save humanity—even if it puts him in danger. As you traverse through various landscapes, you’ll be up against devilized humans, all while trying to take down The Ebon Sting, the source of the unleashed evil.

Expect a variety of weapons at your disposal, along with some wicked powers that you can earn by defeating Arch Demons. As players progress, Kim will gain new abilities that mix offense, defense, and mobility, adding depth to the gameplay. The game’s unique 2.5D world also includes thrilling platforming challenges where you’ll need to unlock the right to explore hidden routes.

One of the standout features of the full game is its revamped storyline. While some elements from Early Access remain—like Kim’s amnesia—many character roles and storylines have changed significantly.

The AP System has undergone changes, allow for seamless light attacks, jumping, and movement, ensuring that you can stay on the offensive while also dodging attacks when needed. On top of that, expect to find more accessories, artifacts, and weapons to enhance your combat prowess.

Fans of the Nintendo Switch will be pleased to hear that a version for the console is in the works, though a specific release date is still under wraps—look for it in 2025!

To give everyone a taste of what’s to come, a new trailer has been released, showcasing the atmospheric world and adrenaline-fueled battles in The Devil Within: Satgat.
