Heroes We Need To Come To Marvel Rivals
By Lewis Larcombe|December 18, 2024|0 Comment
One thing that I’m sure games like Overwatch and VALORANT envy about Marvel Rivals is the plethora of material they have to fall back on, especially in the character department. With decades of comics and movies to pull from, it’s clear that the roster of heroes and villains in Marvel Rivals is only just getting started.
But while the game already boasts fan favourites like Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Scarlet Witch, there are still plenty of iconic characters missing from the battlefield. Here’s our wishlist of Marvel heroes we’d love to see join the fight, along with the roles we think they’d excel in.
When it comes to cosmic powerhouses, few are as iconic as the Silver Surfer. Armed with the Power Cosmic and his trusty board, the Surfer could serve as a versatile support hero, buffing allies and debuffing foes. Imagine him summoning waves of cosmic energy to heal his team while blasting enemies with planet-crushing force—an intergalactic game-changer.
The Merc with a Mouth is practically made for games like this. As a Duelist, Deadpool’s healing factor would give him impressive sustain, while his arsenal of weapons ensures he can dish out chaos and damage in equal measure. Throw in some fourth-wall-breaking quips, and he’d bring a whole new level of entertainment to Marvel Rivals.
Who better to step into the Vanguard role than the unbreakable Luke Cage? With his superhuman strength and bulletproof skin, Cage could easily tank damage for his team while dishing out devastating blows in return. Plus, his presence would add some much-needed street-level grit to the game’s roster.
Whether it’s Johnny Blaze or Robbie Reyes, Ghost Rider’s hellfire chains and supernatural abilities would make him a terrifying Duelist. Picture him speeding through the battlefield on his flaming motorcycle, unleashing the Penance Stare to deal massive damage to foes—a literal hell on wheels.
As the leader of the X-Men, Cyclops brings precision and power to the Duelist role. With his optic blasts capable of slicing through steel, Cyclops would be a ranged damage-dealer who excels at picking off enemies from afar. His leadership skills could also add unique synergy bonuses for his team.
The Man Without Fear’s acrobatic combat skills and heightened senses make him a natural fit for the Duelist role. Daredevil’s ability to dodge incoming attacks and counter with precision strikes would make him a nimble and deadly addition to the game’s roster.
Whether it’s Richard Rider or Sam Alexander, Nova would be a fantastic addition as a tank. Powered by the Nova Force, he could absorb damage, unleash explosive energy attacks, and fly circles around enemies. Nova’s cosmic energy blasts and shields would make him a Vanguard to be reckoned with.
With her power-absorbing abilities, Rogue would bring a unique twist to the Strategist role. Imagine her stealing enemy buffs or temporarily mimicking their powers to turn the tide of battle. She’d be an unpredictable and invaluable asset to any team.
The Master of Kung Fu would thrive as a high-skill Duelist, using a combination of martial arts and Chi-enhanced strikes to dismantle opponents. Shang-Chi’s agility and precision would make him a standout character for players who value finesse and timing.
As one of the most powerful mutants in the X-Men, Iceman would add some much-needed chill to Marvel Rivals. His ability to create ice constructs and freeze enemies solid would make him a versatile Duelist capable of both controlling the battlefield and dishing out heavy damage.
With such a rich universe of characters to pull from, the possibilities for Marvel Rivals are endless. Whether it’s cosmic icons like Silver Surfer or street-level legends like Daredevil, these heroes could bring exciting new dynamics to the game. Who would you like to see added next? Let us know your wishlist!
