Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Celebrates Christmas With Special Stop-Motion Short

United International Pictures Malaysia has unveiled a new stop-motion Sonic The Hedgehog Christmas short ahead of Sonic The Hedgehog 3 later this month.

The synopsis reads:

Sonic the Hedgehog returns to the big screen this holiday season in his most thrilling adventure yet. Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.

Director Jeff Fowler returns along with our all-star cast including Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub, newcomers Alyla Browne and Krysten Ritter, with Keanu Reeves joining the franchise as Shadow the Hedgehog.

Back in April 2024, it was reported that Keanu Reeves will be voicing Shadow The Hedgehog in the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog 3. Previously, Jim Carrey was also confirmed to be reprising his role as Dr. Robotnik AKA Dr. Eggman.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 premiered back in April 2022 and was a box office success garnering more than US$400 million at the global box office.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is slated to premiere in cinemas on 26 December 2024.
