Tekken World Tour 2024 Winner Grins & Bears It

This year’s biggest 3D fighting game tournament, the Tekken World Tour 2024, has its grand champion.

The winner of the long-spanning worldwide tournament series from Bandai Namco is VARREL|Rangchu who has stayed strong with his trademark Kuma play. While considered a mid-tier character at best, Rangchu made the bruising bear work and placed the beatdown on all contender in the global finals from top Pakistan player Arslan Ash to top Saudi Arabian player Raef, knocking them to loser’s bracket.

Not once has he left winners bracket with his grizzly play, especially in a playing field dominated by top character picks like Dragunov, Nina, Feng, Xiaoyu, and Shaheen. His Grand Finals fight against Pakistan top player Falcons|Atif was no slouch, as he was dominating his run in losers bracket. Still, there can only be one and Rangchu threw off the cub paws and just mauled Atif with hard reads and harder hits.

Rangchu has been placed 1st in a number of Tekken 8 tournaments, like Manila Madness 3 and SOOP Tekken League 2024. He wasn’t quite successful in Esports World Cup 2024, but his fortunes have changed as of late mostly due to the game’s updates to the bear fighter Kuma. Check out the results and highlights below; it’s a helluva Iron Fist tournament this year.
