Intel and 2K are teaming up to deliver incredible CPU and GPU optimizations to the latest game in the Civilization series, including XeSS graphics support for the first time.
Intel and 2K are teaming up to launch the Intel Builder Bundle, featuring the highly anticipated Sid Meier’s Civilization VII. Starting today, gamers who purchase qualifying Intel Core Ultra processors (series 2) or Intel Core desktop processors (14th Gen) from participating sellers will be eligible to receive a digital copy of Civilization VII to play when the game launches on February 11, 2025.
“It’s hard to come up with franchises in the PC gaming industry more iconic than Sid Meier’s Civilization, and Intel is thrilled to continue its years-long partnership with 2K Games and Firaxis on the series’ latest installment. Gamers around the world can depend on Intel Core and Core Ultra processors to deliver the best Civilization experience on a PC.” – Roger Chandler, VP and GM, Enthusiast and Workstation PC, Intel
As the official PC hardware partner for Civilization VII, Intel and 2K are teaming up once again to ensure gamers are getting the best experience – whether they’re running on a high-end enthusiast desktop or a more mainstream Intel processor-based laptop. Notably, Civilization VII will launch with Intel XeSS Super Resolution (XeSS-SR) support – bringing Intel’s innovative graphics upscaling solution to the Civilization franchise for the first time.
Developer Firaxis Games and Intel are also continuing their CPU optimization work together, including Intel Core Ultra and Intel Core CPU scheduling optimizations that will ensure the best possible performance on Intel processors. From the latest AI-enhanced Intel® Core™ Ultra processors (series 2) for enthusiasts to the incredible performance-per-dollar choice of Intel® Core™ desktop processors (14th Gen), this collaboration will deliver peak performance for every player.
“We have spent a significant amount of time and effort with Intel to deliver an exceptional Civilization experience over the years, and we’re excited to do it once again with Civilization VII. The technical innovations Firaxis and Intel are bringing to our latest entry in the franchise are going to elevate the gaming experience once again, and we can’t wait for gamers to experience it for themselves.” –Dennis Shirk, Executive Producer, Firaxis Games
