Tactical Extraction Shooter Exoborne Playtest Is Happening Next Month

Sharkmob has announced the upcoming playtest for their tactical extraction shooter, Exoborne. This test phase offers players worldwide an exclusive chance to dive into Colton County—a region ravaged by deadly forces of nature, creating a unique playground for intense PvPvE combat.

Exoborne is an open-world, tactical extraction shooter set in a world torn apart by extreme forces of nature. Customize powerful exo-rigs to gain strategic advantage in ever-changing weather conditions. Face hostile factions, enemy players, and Mother Nature herself in intense high-stakes sessions.

In Exoborne, players take on the role of Reborn, special survivors equipped with powerful Exo-Rigs. They are invited to choose their tactical approach by customizing their Rigs adjusting their loadout to their own playstyle. They’ll embrace high risks in pursuit of greater rewards, battling against other players, warring factions, and the relentless forces of nature. With today’s trailer Tar, the mysterious leader of the Reborn, calls players to pick up the fight against Rebirth and face the threat for humanity’s survival once again.

The playtest will run from 12 to 17 February 2025 and will be available via Steam for PC players. Those eager to participate can sign up on the game’s official Steam page to secure a chance to grab a key for the testing phase.

The Exoborne Playtest will start at 9pm GMT+8 on 12 February 2025 and end at 9pm GMT+8 on 17 February 2025.

Brynley Gibson, Executive Producer, said:

“We’ve been conducting closed tests both online and in our studio for quite some time. But this marks our first large-scale test, and it’s an incredibly exciting milestone for us. By entering this stage of open collaboration with the community, we’re eager to gather invaluable insights and feedback that will drive us to elevate the game to new heights. “

Exoborne thrusts players into a hostile world devastated by the unyielding power of nature. Among the few survivors are the Reborn—former followers of Project Rebirth – now rebels fighting for truth and justice.

As one of the Reborn, players battle for scarce resources in a land plagued by extreme weather phenomena, rogue enemy factions, and dangers lurking at every turn. In this treacherous world, their greatest threat may come from within, as the battle for survival pits everyone against each other, so they can trust no one, as other players will seek to outmanoeuvre each other.

The Reborn wield powerful Exo-Rigs, versatile tools of survival and combat that can be customized to suit individual goals and missions. From weathering deadly storms to leveraging the forces of nature in battle, players can adapt their Exo-Rigs for survival, enhanced movement and tactical domination of the battlefield.
