Fatal Fury: City Of Wolves Adds Kain, Officially Announces Season 1 Pass
During the EVO Awards on 16 February, SNK has announced a couple of updates for its upcoming fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
Kain R. Heinlein is the next character on the roster; he’s one of the antagonists in Fatal Fury lore and was the last boss of Garou: Mark of the Wolves. He is Rock Howard’s uncle and Geese Howard’s brother-in-law.
“A young idealist burning with ambition. Having torn through numerous hostile organizations around South Town, Kain makes an unsettling discovery: his older sister, Marie, is being held captive by one of them. Knowing that his will alone cannot right this wrong, he joins forces with Rock Howard to secure her release. A twist of fate, a dream for the future—with unwavering resolve Kain directs his attention to the upcoming KOF tournament, hoping to return Marie to safety at last.”
In the new gameplay trailer and exhibition match, he has retained his projectile Schwarze Flamme, his horizontal charge attack Schwarzer Panzer, and his anti-air Schwarze Lanze. He has a new move called Schwarzes Rondo where he lays out a purple orb flame that detonates after a second or two. It’s essentially a trap move that makes your opponent either block or reposition themselves, putting you at an advantage.
In addition, the recent leak was true: Fatal Fury City of the Wolves will be getting the following characters for free in the Season 1 Pass character DLC:
- Andy Bogard (Summer 2025)
- Ken Masters (Summer 2025)
- Joe Higashi (Fall 2025)
