Lies of P Publisher Backs Arkane Founder’s Next Big Swing
By Lewis Larcombe|February 5, 2025|0 Comment
Raphaël Colantonio, the man who gave us Dishonored and Prey, is back with another game—but this time, it’s under his own banner, Wolfeye Studios. And who’s publishing it? None other than NEOWIZ, the folks behind Lies of P.
The game itself is still a bit of a mystery, other than being a “retro sci-fi first-person action RPG” with a branching narrative. Wolfeye has dropped some concept art, teasing a mix of rugged landscapes and futuristic flair, which sounds like Firefly meets Blade Runner, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Colantonio, after 18 years at Arkane, left to do his own thing in 2019, forming Wolfeye alongside Julien Roby, another Arkane veteran. Their first game, Weird West, was a dark fantasy spin on cowboy life—part action RPG, part immersive sim. Critics liked it well enough, with Metacritic scores ranging from 73 to 81, but it wasn’t exactly the next Dishonored.
Now, Wolfeye is back with an even bigger ambition, bringing in a team of industry vets from Dishonored, Prey, Pentiment, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and even Assassin’s Creed. With NEOWIZ backing them, they’re hoping to craft something “unique, creative, and memorable” (their words, not ours).
Will this be another cult classic or something that puts Arkane’s old guard back on the map? Time will tell.
