Star Wars: Hunters F2P Game Shuts Down After Less Than A Year Of Being Active
Sad news for Star Wars and phone gaming fans – Star Wars: Hunters is shutting down.
The Zynga-made game will be taken offline and its servers will shut down on 1st October 2025. Apparently the game didn’t take off like Zynga expected; its final content release will be out on 15 April.
The free-to-play PvP arena combat game came out on 4 June 2024 on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch, with the game taking place between Star Wars Episode VI and VII. Here is the official goodbye message:
“Thank you for your incredible support and for being part of the world of Vespaara. After careful consideration, we want to let you know that the final content update for Star Wars: Hunters on all platforms will be on April 15. The game will remain playable until October 1, 2025, when the game’s online servers will be shut down. We understand this news may be disappointing and want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. Your passion and dedication to the game and its community have meant the world to us, and we are committed to providing visibility and updates throughout the transition process.”

Considering that back in my day running and working on F2P games back in 2015, 9 months is an incredibly short time to give up on these kinds of games.
