Verdansk Returns To Call of Duty: Warzone

The prodigal map returns! Verdansk, the original Call of Duty: Warzone battlefield, is officially coming back next month.

After months of speculation (and a fair bit of nostalgia-fueled pleading from fans), Activision has finally marked the calendar: 3 April. And this isn’t just some casual re-release—Verdansk is making its grand comeback to coincide with the launch of Black Ops 6 and Warzone’s long-overdue Season 3.

Originally expected to arrive on 20 March, the season was delayed by two weeks, presumably so Activision could put a bit more polish on the experience. They’ve hyped it up as a “big moment” for both Warzone and Black Ops 6, which—given the lukewarm state of Warzone right now—sounds like damage control.

Season 2, which landed back in January, left battle royale fans with scraps while Activision focused on fixing the game rather than adding much new. Verdansk’s return is likely meant to rekindle interest, and according to reports, content creators have already been playtesting the map behind the scenes.

But the real question? What happens to the current maps? If Verdansk is back, does that mean Rebirth Island, Vondel, or Urzikstan are on the chopping block? We’ll find out soon enough.

One thing’s for sure—on April 3, it’s time to drop in once again.
