Asia Pop Con 2025 Is Locked In This November

Much like a well-timed Avengers Assemble or the first note of an anime opening that slaps way too hard, the time has come for all geeks, freaks, and cosplay elites to rejoice – because Asia Pop Con 2025 has officially announced its date and venue.

So when and where is the madness happening? 8 & 9 November 2025, at the Starling Exhibition Hall, Petaling Jaya. That’s right – we’re taking over one of KL’s finest venues for two full days of glorious pop culture overload.

The announcement was made in signature Pop-kun fashion — the con’s hyper-enthusiastic mascot — who basically popped out of your screen like a sugar-rushed cartoon character to yell:

“Two days of non-stop pop culture madness — movies, anime, comics, toys, games, cosplay, collectibles and SO. MUCH. MORE!”

Now, if you’re thinking “That sounds like every other con…”, let’s not forget this is the same event that last year brought in David Hayter himself — yes, the real Solid Snake. This year? They’re turning up the nostalgia dial to eleven by flying in the original Resident Evil live-action trio: Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith, and Eric Pirius. So yes, your childhood nightmares will be right there, in the flesh, signing autographs and probably pretending not to remember how cursed those PS1 cutscenes were.

In fact, Charlie himself confirmed it on Facebook not long ago, cheekily adding:

“See you there! I hear they have really yummy Jill Sandwiches in Malaysia.”

Cheers, mate. We’ve got satay and sambal, but sure, have a Jill Sandwich.

As for this year’s venue, the Starling Exhibition Hall is a proper posh step up — centrally located, air-conditioned, and with just enough room to not accidentally elbow someone’s prop sword every five minutes. Cosplayers, rejoice.

Founder Shahril Anuar Ismail has also hinted at more surprises to come, so expect additional celebrity guest reveals, panel announcements, and enough collectables to drain your wallet faster than a gacha banner drop.
