Another year, another slew of 1st April news posts that may or may not be real.

It’s time to sift through the funny and the not-quite, and everything in between. You might even find a visual novel or two to lose time to!

PUBG: Battlegrounds gets a visual novel called Winner Winner Romance Dinner where you play a gun romance simulation game set in a high school. The game is live from 1st April until 29th April.

 

Cygames

The Fanblue Grantasy joke returns in full unshapened mess form.

 

SNK

SNK put up a job posting for a group called the Howard Connection. This joke about Southtown mafia boss Geese Howard hiring for his new company hits all the right notes, with candidates required to not be afraid of heights (a nod to the Fatal Fury endings where Mr Howard falls off his tower to his death(s).

 

Iron Saga VS

The game devs decide to announce that its replacing the entire 12 slot roster with nothing but Boss Borot.

 

Yostar

The folks behind Blue Archive just made a romance visual novel that’s playable on your web browser, based on one of the characters in Blue Archive.

 

Mintrocket

The makers of Dave The Diver announced a remastered version of the game, made for future consoles like the Swhich and Ybox Series X|L.

 

Shift Up

The makers of the jiggly-tastic Nikke games still uses Shifty as a punchline.

Nier

An 8-bit version of Nier: Automata is on display right now.

 

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis

FFVII goes high-school with this joke announcement. It’s also pretty insane to see Aerith as a high school delinquent.
