Mythic Quest TV Show Cancelled After Four Season; Finale Episode To Air Next Week

After four awesome seasons, you would think video games industry-focused comedy show Mythic Quest would see another season. Alas, it’s not to be.

Apple TV+ announced that Mythic Quest will not be renewed for a fifth season, effectively ending the series’ run on the streaming platform. At the very least, the show’s final episode with a new ending will premiere next week on the platform, effectively giving it a proper ending. Show producers Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob EcElhenney had this to say about these turn of events.

“Endings are hard. But after four incredible seasons, ‘Mythic Quest’ is coming to a close. We’re so proud of the show and the world we got to build—and deeply grateful to every cast and crew member who poured their heart into it.

To all our fans, thank you for playing with us. To our partners at Apple, thank you for believing in the vision from the very beginning. Because endings are hard, with Apple’s blessing we made one final update to our last episode—so we could say goodbye, instead of just game over.”

It’s sad, but nothing lasts forever anyway. With the way Season 4 ended, it had to wrap up its crazy plot arcs and revelations anyway, so having a final episode next week is better than nothing.

Mythic Quest debuted on Apple TV+ back in February 2020. The show was well-received for its humourous take on video game development and the games industry. For more on Mythic Quest, check out our review of Season 4.
