Stitch Crashes KL: Alien Nuisance Now Available for Selfies

Right, gather the kids, charge your phones, and prepare for a month-long invasion—because the galaxy’s most adorable chaos gremlin is crash-landing in Malaysia. And no, not metaphorically. Disney’s Stitch, that hyperactive blue alien who treats Earth like a personal jungle gym, has made Pavilion Kuala Lumpur his new holiday resort. You’re welcome.

As of now until 15 June, Pavilion’s Crystal Fountain isn’t just a fancy water feature anymore—it’s Stitch’s new crash site, complete with a 17-foot-tall version of the little menace looming over shoppers like a cerulean Godzilla. It’s like King Kong, but with more mischief and extra limbs. Perfect for the ‘Gram, or for traumatising toddlers.

And if a giant static Stitch isn’t enough for your tropical fever dream, exclusive Meet & Greet sessions will take place from 30 May to 1 June. A familiar face from Lilo & Stitch will be making appearances at Level 2, Centre Court, four to five times a day like some kind of Hawaiian-themed Pokémon encounter.

Here’s the chaos schedule:

  • 30 May (Friday) – 12:30PM, 2PM, 4:30PM, 6PM
  • 31 May (Saturday) – 11AM, 12:30PM, 2PM, 4:30PM, 6PM
  • 1 June (Sunday) – 11AM, 12:30PM, 2PM, 4:30PM, 6PM

But wait, there’s more! Starting 28 May, Centre Court will undergo a full-blown Disney detour into island vibes. Think Tiki-bar meets pop culture market stall. Expect customisable Stitch gear from Parkson, a Stitch-themed vending machine at Miniso (because naturally), interactive displays from Gintell, exclusive collectables from Metapark, and enough tropical branding to make you question whether you’re still indoors.

So if you’ve ever wanted to shop, pose with a 17-foot alien, and pretend Pavilion is on a Hawaiian beach—all while your kids go feral with excitement—this is your moment.

Catch Disney’s new Lilo & Stitch film in cinemas from 22 May, and embrace the intergalactic pandemonium while it lasts. Remember, ohana means family, and family means dragging them to see a blue alien until they smile for the camera.
