The Games Exchange Australia X Indonesia Indie Game Session Slated For May
After the one in Malaysia, it’s now Indonesia’s time in the games exchange spotlight.
Noble Steed has announced the date of its upcoming The Games Exchange: Australia X Indonesia program, where each of these countries showcase the games from the other country in a public location for one night only. The Australian and Indonesian games spotlight will take place on 23 May 2025 in Redfern, Sydney. The Australian showcase is paired with an event in Jakarta, Indonesia on 17 May.
The Sydney event on 23 May will feature the following Indonesian-made games (via Gameshub):
- Mirth Island by Clay Games
- KuloNiku: Bowl Up by Gambir Studio
- Montabi by Mankibo
- The Chef’s Shift by Panitia GameDev
- K-pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut by Wisageni
- Verde and the Echoing Water by Antimeta Studio
The Jakarta event on 17 May will get to play these Australian-made games:
- Proximate by Cain Maddox
- Anticitizen Red by Queebly Software
- Key Fairy by Owl Machine
- Ascending Inferno by Oppolyon Studios
- Ailuri by Vivink Studios
- My Arms Are Longer Now by Toot Games
While these games are available to play as demos, there’s nothing quite like heading to an event and mingle with like-minded enthusiasts and game curators while talking shop and other things. In other words, it’s the perfect opportunity for you to touch grass if you’re either in Australia or Indonesia during those dates. Plus, the event is free, though you’ll need to register for tickets (for head-counting purposes on Noble Steed’s side).
