Street Fighter Throws Down With Sushi In Singapore

Capcom Singapore has just announced a crossover you never knew you needed — Street Fighter is stepping out of the arena and onto the sushi belt in an over-the-top collab with Sushiro Singapore. Yes, really. To celebrate Street Fighter 6’s second anniversary, Capcom is trading fists for fish in what might be the tastiest special move yet.

The Fight Starts at the Table

From 18 June to 31 July 2025, this tag-team event will unfold in two waves, transforming two Sushiro outlets — Mandai Wildlife EAST and Suntec City — into full-blown Street Fighter-themed dining battlegrounds. Think photo ops, eye-popping game visuals, and immersive decor that makes you feel like you’ve accidentally walked into Chun-Li’s lunch break.

The Menu is the Main Event

Capcom didn’t just slap a logo on a soy sauce packet and call it a day. They’ve curated a limited-time-only menu with three dishes inspired by the game’s legendary roster. Each dish also comes with a collectable 16-bit pixel food pick — yes, nostalgia is edible now.

  • Giant Cut Fresh Salmon in Yuzu Soy (S$4.5++)
  • Shiokoji Scallop with Salmon Roe (S$4.5++)
  • Almond Pudding with Strawberry Sauce (S$3.5++)

There are 34 different character designs in those food picks, so start collecting — or trading, like you did with Pokémon cards and dignity in primary school.

Round 1… Merch Fight!

If you spend at least S$20 at any Sushiro Singapore outlet during the event, you’ll unlock access to exclusive Street Fighter merch. Just be warned: you’re limited to three items per receipt — or in fighting game terms, three continues.

Wave 1 (18 June – 8 July):

  • Keychains (S$8.9+ each):
Featuring Ryu, Juri, Chun-Li, Cammy & E. Honda all just… vibing at a sushi bar.
  • Plushies (S$15.9+ each):
Cuddle up with plush versions of Cammy, Akuma, and Ed, because nothing says “battle-hardened warrior” like being huggable.

Wave 2 (9 July – 31 July):

  • New keychain sets (S$8.9+ each):
Including deep cuts like Blanka & Lily or Dee Jay & Kimberly, now mid-bite instead of mid-kick.
  • Canvas Bag (S$14.9+):
A truly one-of-a-kind tote featuring Street Fighter characters standing side-by-side with Sushiro’s weirdly hench mascot. Yes, this is real.

From World Tour to Food Tour

Street Fighter 6 first launched on 2 June 2023, and it’s still throwing punches in the gaming world with style, substance, and a killer soundtrack. This collab might be Singapore-only, but the message is universal — food brings people together, even if one of those people is a demon-faced martial artist with a teleporting uppercut.

So if you’ve ever wondered what sushi tastes like after a Shoryuken, now’s your chance to find out. It’s a crossover combo of sushi, nostalgia, and fan service — and unlike your online ranked matches, this one comes with dessert.
