[Rumour] The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update Is Coming Today
By Alleef Ashaari|October 19, 2021|0 Comment
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt could be launching on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S today on 19 October 2021.
According to the recently updated PEGI ratings board (via Gematsu), The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt next-gen update will arrive today. However, CD Projekt Red has yet to confirm the news, so it’s better to take all this with a grain of salt for now.
The updated listing mentions the The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Game Of The Year Edition, which means that it would come with the base game, alongside the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions.
The Witcher 3 next-gen version was originally announced back in September 2020. Back then, the developer said that the next-gen edition of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will feature “a range of visual and technical improvements, including ray tracing and faster loading times, across the base game, both expansions, and all extra contentâ€.
Although it will be released as a standalone purchase for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, existing owners of the game on the PS4, Xbox One and PC will receive the next-gen version as a free update.
Stay tuned.
