Vampire Movie Renfield Gets Vampire Survivors Tie-In Game

Who knew that license movie games can come back in style and be good? Especially when it’s cribbing off an already-established genre of last year?

That’s the new Renfield game from Mega Cat Studios, titled Renfield: Bring Your Own Blood. The game is a top-down action roguelike in the veins (heh) of Vampire Survivors. And it looks really good, with the powers, buffs, attacks, and controls. The pixel art and enemy variety also helps, along with the game’s rescue-or-sacrifice mechanic: if you rescue a victim, you’re given a time limit to bring them to a location. You’ll get tons of rewards if you succeed.

If you fancy “one more run” kind of games, you’ll want to sink your teeth into this Renfield tie-in.

It’s out right now in Early Access. There are only three stages and one playable character in the game, but it’s only US$5 on Steam. In the meantime, Renfield the movie is showing right now in theatres; you should go watch it as it’s a load of fun.
