[Report] Uncharted Movie Trailer Has Leaked; Looks Pretty Close To The Revered Series

Update: The official version went live. Check out the story here.

Lord knows how long Sony Pictures has worked on an Uncharted movie. Is it 13 years? After settling on a lead -Tom “Spider-Man” Holland- it seems like the movie is really happening.

Leave it to someone on Twitter to leak the footage off-screen. It’ll most likely be taken down quick, so check out the Twitter link below when you can. Here’s a spoiler warning since it does bring to life an iconic Uncharted 3 moment.

The teaser highlights the famous airplane cargo action sequence from Uncharted 3 and its Stowaway chapter. Tom Holland plays Nathan Drake who not only is hanging out of the cargo part of the giant airplane, but also confronts a Scottish guard who says some lingo about tresspassing before Nathan replies with a “huh?”

We also see Mark Wahlberg playing his mentor Sully from the teaser’s later jump cuts. Antonio Bandera plays a mysterious character in the show. The film will be directed by Ruben Fleischer; previously Travis Knight was at the helm before he left the project.

The Uncharted film also has a final release date: 18th February 2022. It was supposed to be out early this year but COVID-19 complications did make Sony settle on a 2022 release date.
