Resident Evil 4 Remake Details Reportedly Leaked

There’s been a persistent rumour since 2020 that Capcom is secretly making a Resident Evil 4 Remake game in the vein of 2019’s Resident Evil 2 Remake and 2020’s Resident Evil 3 Remake. However, it has yet to be officially announced, but sources from Fanbyte have revealed some new alleged details about the project.

Firstly, the Resident Evil 4 Remake is apparently set for an early 2022 reveal, which means that we might be seeing an announcement any day now. Capcom has also changed the game’s setting to take place mostly during nighttime instead of the day, including the game’s famous opening village setpiece.

This is because they wanted to make the game closer in tone to the previous two remakes; inspired by the game’s original betas. In addition, side characters will be getting bigger roles, including Ada Wong. She will allegedly even have an extended campaign which will be longer than the original Separate Ways add-on.

At the time of writing, Capcom has yet to officially announce anything, so it’s better to take everything with a grain of salt for now.
