Grand Theft Auto 5 PS5 & Xbox Series Versions Confirmed; Features Graphical Updates

Rockstar has provided a ton of detail about its now-confirmed Grand Theft Auto 5 ports for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

The game will feature three graphics modes for players to choose from, including Fidelity Mode (high-quality visuals), Performance Mode (60 frames per second), and Performance RT mode (hybrid of the two).

“These new versions also offer across-the-board improvements including faster loading times, increased population and traffic variety, increased vegetation density, improved lighting quality across shadows, water reflections, and other elements. Plus improved anti-aliasing, motion-blur, highly detailed new explosions, fire, and much more.”

Starting today, players can start transferring their story mode progress by uploading it to the Rockstar Games Social Club. Also, this GTA 5 will be out with a new standalone version of Grand Theft Auto Online, which will be available for free for 3 months from launch exclusively for PS5 owners with a PlayStation Plus subscription. This version of GTA Online and the Xbox Series version will also let players skip the story mode prologue before playing and will include a new tutorial.

These versions of GTA 5 will be out on 15 March. And if you’re wondering when Grand Theft Auto 6 will be out; it’s coming. Rockstar is currently developing the game.

“With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered – and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway.”
