RSG PH Destroy RRQ Hoshi To Win MSC 2022
By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|June 19, 2022|0 Comment
RSG PH has been crowned the Kings of Southeast Asia as they have taken down RRQ Hoshi in the Grand Finals of the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup 2022.
After having been knocked down into the Lower Bracket Finals by the Indonesian powerhouse in RRQ Hoshi, RSG PH managed to make their way back to the Grand Finals after taking down Omega Esports in a nail-biting 3-2 series.
One they have taken down their Filipino brethren, RSG PH moved on to the Grand Finals to once again face RRQ Hoshi. RRQ previously had beaten them in convincing fashion with a scoreline of 3-1 and were understandably favourites to win. Little did RRQ know, RSG had gone back to the drawing board deduced that their aforementioned losses were due to a bad draft in selecting a team composition. This time, they were ready and the results showed.
RSG PH went on to take the Best of 7 series, 4-0. That’s right folks, a clean sweep. RRQ didn’t manage to even take a single game off of the newly crowned champions. Besides drafting better, RSG also strategised that they needed to put more emphasis on their Gold Laner, Eman “EMANN” Sangco. And boy did it show!
Out of all eight games that took place between RSG PH and RRQ Hoshi throughout the knockout stage, EMANN received the title of MVP for three of those games. Once during the 1-3 loss in the Upper Bracket Finals, and another two in Game 3 and the final Game in the Grand Finals. Moreover, to solidify his significance to RSG’s win, EMANN was awarded Tournament MVP too.
