By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|August 15, 2022|0 Comment
In a nail-biting Best-of-5 that went all the way to a Game 5 S&D held at Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City, Omega Esports prevailed and remain as the Kings of Garena.
Omega Esports‘ consists of a seven-man roster in Kennedy “iDra” Mondoy, John Clarence “Jayzee” Riveria, Kenneth “KenDy” Pimentel, Jerrold “Woopiiee” Regay, Kevin “Kevs” Baguio, Ronan “Rage” Eleria and Jonnel “R1sky” Buemio alongside coach Bruce “Dev1ce” Cruz.

Omega Esports, formerly known as NRX Jeremiah 29:11, were previously considered to be one of the best teams in the Eastern hemisphere as they were they had previously owned the title of Kings of Garena.
They would later be dethroned by the equally dominant Blacklist Ultimate, but at the last Garena Masters, Omega were able to reclaim their title.
With Call of Duty: Mobile returning to LAN for Garena Masters III, the question was whether or not Blacklist Ultimate would be able to reclaim their crown from Omega, but if anyone was going to dethrone Omega, it was going to be them.
Earlier that day, Omega had faced Blacklist in the upper bracket final which also went to a Game 5 but Omega managed to secure themselves their spot in the Grand Finals.
Blacklist on the other hand were knocked down into the lower bracket final where they would go on to face ALMGHTY, defeating them 3–1 and guaranteeing a rematch in the Grand Finals. Weirdly enough, the Grand Finals played out similarly to the upper bracket finals, whereby Blacklist were able to take both Hardpoints in either series. Unfortunately for them, their Search and Destroy (S&D) just was not on Omega’s level as they lost 3–7 in three of the four S&Ds that were played.
For both teams, their eyes now look toward the World Championship. With LAN in the cards, this means that this year’s Champs won’t be divided into the Western Finals and the Eastern Finals, and we will finally be able to find out which region is the best region in the world!
