Need For Speed Unbound Is Current-Gen Only, Launches This December

EA and Criterion Games have announced that Need For Speed Unbound will launch for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on 2 December 2022.

In Need For Speed Unbound, you will race against time, outsmart the cops and take on weekly qualifiers to reach The Grand, Lakeshore’s ultimate street racing challenge. You can also pack your garage with precision-tuned, custom rides and light up the streets with your style, exclusive fits, and a vibrant global soundtrack that bumps in every corner of the world.

The game will run at 4K 60FPS using the Frostbite engine featuring a brand-new high-framerate physics system. Need For Speed Unbound will also feature offline single-player racing with a campaign, multiplayer with cross-play support and free post-launch content updates.

The most recent game in the franchise was 2019’s Need For Speed Heat by Ghost Games. Meanwhile, the last Need For Speed title that Criterion Games worked on was almost a decade ago; 2013’s Need For Speed Rivals.
