Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta Is Canon Now
By Alleef Ashaari|November 30, 2018|1 Comment
A new Dragon Ball Super Broly trailer has confirmed that fan-favorite character Gogeta is now officially canon. Not only that, it offers us our first look at a Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta.
The short teaser trailer runs at only 30 seconds long, but it shows us a glimpse of the impending fight between Broly and Gogeta in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super Broly movie.
It begins with the appearance of Gogeta, who then turns into a Super Saiyan before finally turning into his Super Saiyan Blue form to fight against Broly in his incredibly powerful Legendary Super Saiyan form.
Gogeta’s previous appearances were in the Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn movie and the Dragon Ball GT anime series, both of which are considered to be not canon to the franchise.
As of now, the official Dragon Ball canon comprises of the original Dragon Ball manga and anime (including the Dragon Ball Z anime) and the Dragon Ball Super anime. Recent movies like Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Dragon Ball: Ressurection ‘F’ were canon at their respective times of release, but have since been superseded by Dragon Ball Super (which recounted and retold the same stories with additional details).
In case you missed it, Malaysians won’t be missing out on the action as the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie is slated to arrive here on December 27, 2018. Meanwhile, countries like Japan and the US will be receiving the movie on December 14, 2018, and January 16, 2019, respectively.
