WayForward’s RWBY 2D Game Gets November Release Date

To celebrate the fictional birthday of one Ruby Rose in the Western-made anime series RWBY, WayForward has announced the release date of its video game adaptation of the series.

RWBY: Arrowfell will be out on 15 November for PC, Xbox Series, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The game features four playable characters from the show: Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long, whom you can switch on the fly in melee and ranged combat.

Canonically, the game takes place after RWBY Volume 7. The game offers a bunch of locations in the continent of Solitas, with puzzles and search action upgrades galore. WayForward is no stranger to the genre with its hit Shantae series, so they shouldn’t have issues making this RWBY game fun.

Key features and video below:

  • Play as all four members of Team RWBY — Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang — each with their own weapons and abilities! Switch between them at any time!
  • Use each character’s Semblances to get an edge in combat and solve puzzles!
  • Featuring an original theme song by Jeff Williams with vocals by Casey Lee Williams!
  • An all-new canonical story set during RWBY Volume 7 from RWBY writers Kerry Shawcross, Miles Luna, and Eddy Rivas!
