Mighty Morphin Power Rangers To Reunite For 30th Anniversary Netflix Special

The original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers were part of many childhoods, especially the 90s kids. Now, Netflix has announced Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Once And Always to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise. It will premiere on Netflix on 19 April 2023.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the returning cast includes Walter E. Jones (Zack, the Black Ranger), David Yost (Billy, the Blue Ranger), Catherine Sutherland (Kat, the second Pink Ranger), Karan Ashley (Aisha, the second Yellow Ranger), Steve Cardenas (Rocky, the second Red Ranger), and Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam, the second Black Ranger). Barbara Goodson will also reprise her role as the voice of their arch nemesis Rita Repulsa.

The late Thuy Trang played the original Yellow Ranger, Trini, but she passed away in a car accident in 2001. Charlie Kersch will play Minh, Trini’s daughter. It’s all a bit bittersweet considering that the legendary Jason David Frank (the original Green Ranger and White Ranger) recently passed away several months before this announcement. Let’s hope there’ll be a tribute of some sort to him in the upcoming anniversary special.
