[Report] Far Cry 7 & Standalone Far Cry Multiplayer Game In The Works
A report on Insider Gaming mentions a number of Far Cry games in the works by Ubisoft, based on an internal meeting within Ubisoft hosted by CEO Yves Guillemot.
Far Cry 7 is a given, and it’s being made with Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine, switching out the Dunia Engine this time around. Snowdrop is the game engine used in Tom Clancy’s The Division titles. Ubisoft Montreal is making not just Far Cry 7, but also a multiplayer standalone Far Cry game. The title is an extraction-based shooter set in the Alaskan wilderness.
Both games are slated for a fourth-quarter 2025 release. For more on Ubisoft’s current state, do check out our past reports.
