Leaked Horizon Multiplayer Game Footage Out In The Wild
It’s really hard to keep secrets in the gaming industry, especially when you’re a high-profile IP like PlayStation’s Horizon series.
More than 10 minutes of footage claiming to show early development gameplay of an upcoming Horizon multiplayer game has appeared online (via Reddit). The supposed alpha footage shows off stylized characters from the Horizon universe exploring and fighting the series’ trademark machines.
The anonymous poster said that this is a “very old alpha” build from mid-2020; it’s obviously not indicative of the final product.

Personally, I’m getting a lot of Monster Hunter vibes from all this. After all, Horizon creators Guerilla did say back in December that it planned to expand the world with an “online co-op project” featuring a new cast of characters and a unique look. These leaks definitely fit that mould until PlayStation makes an official statement.
In related news, Guerilla will be making more Horizon single-player mothership games starring series protagonist Aloy. As well as a Horizon MMORPG alongside NCSoft, and a Netflix TV adaptation. Horizon Forbidden West’s first expansion Burning Shore will be out in April.
