Returnal PC Gets Its First Patch To Fix Some Issues
Climax Studios and Housemarque have released the first PC update for Returnal since it was launched on 15 February 2023. The patch is 1.3GB and fixes a number of issues that plagued the game.
The developers have also confirmed that they are working on a performance patch that will be released sometime in the future. That one will probably include a fix for displaying the game at 3840×1600 resolution correctly.
Check out the patch notes (via Steam) below:
- Fix for rare issue with music stopping during Biome entry
- Fix for certain Ultrawide monitor setups not being detected in Full Screen
- Fix for incorrectly detecting the Windows resolution on first boot
- Fix for grass draw distance on Epic Particle settings
- Fix for PSN Sign in time outs
- Fix for Benchmark results rounding error
In the meantime, you can check out my review of Returnal here, or head on over here for a guide to surviving the game.
