Game Boy-Inspired Adventure Game Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories Will Be Out This April

If you want some monochrome 90s-style adventuring with a matching soundtrack of that era, look no further than Froach Club and Poppy Works’ upcoming title Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories.

Melon Journey was previously planned for a 7th March release date; the game will instead be out on 6th April for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. To soothe the delay, publisher XSEED Games has released a remixed compilation of the game’s upcoming music in lo-fi jazz form.

Melon Journey: Bittersweet gameplay features list is below:

  • Fully Interactive Investigation: Comb every inch of Hog Town to collect clues, interrogate shady characters, and sneak your way through the seedy underworld, using your keen observational skills and quick wit to piece together the whole picture before it’s too late.
  • Mystery at Every Turn: While looking for your missing friend, you’ll encounter dozens of curious characters with unique personalities and backstories, adding additional mysteries for you to unravel along the way.
  • Jazzy Lo-Fi Soundtrack: While you’re on the case, enjoy more than 90 different electronic- and jazz-inspired tracks from composer markeryjane.
  • Gorgeous Retro-Style Graphics: The green-tinted, pixelated world of Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories is filled with loving detail, a nostalgic ode to the Game Boy generation with plenty of modern twists.
