Jurassic Park’s Sam Neill Has Undergone Blood Cancer Treatment
Sam Neill, the actor known for playing Dr Alan Grant in the Jurassic Park series and starring in films like The Hunt For Red October and The Piano, is going through cancer treatment.
The actor revealed that he is undergoing treatment for stage three blood cancer. The 75-year old has shared the news of his diagnosis in his upcoming memoir “Did I Ever Tell You This?” according to an exclusive interview in The Guardian. He experienced swollen glands last month during his Jurassic World: Dominion press tour. He was then diagnosed with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, though right now he is cancer-free and is taking chemotherapy drugs for the rest of his life.
“I’m not afraid to die, but it would annoy me. Because I’d really like another decade or two, you know? We’ve built all these lovely terraces, we’ve got these olive trees and cypresses, and I want to be around to see it all mature. And I’ve got my lovely little grandchildren. I want to see them get big. But as for the dying? I couldn’t care less.”
