Franchise Veteran Mark Darrah Returns To Help Finish Dragon Age Dreadwolf

BioWare has revealed that veteran games developer Mark Darrah is returning to be a consultant on Dragon Age Dreadwolf, which is the upcoming fourth game in the franchise.
Speaking with GameBeat/VentureBeat, BioWare general manager Gary McKay said:
“Our studio is focused on creating the best Dragon Age: Dreadwolf while the core Mass Effect team continues their pre-production work. We continue to iterate and polish Dreadwolf, focusing on the things that matter most to our fans.
As we further connect this new experience with the series’ legacy Mark Darrah will join the team as a consultant, bringing with him years of experience working on Dragon Age. We’re proud to have this team, with strong leadership at the helm, working together to realize the vision we have for the game.”
Darrah is a veteran games developer, having worked as co-director on Dragon Age Origins, director on Dragon Age 2, and executive producer on both Dragon Age Inquisition and the early versions of Dragon Age 4 (before it became Dragon Age Dreadwolf). He previously departed from BioWare in 2020.
EA previously said that Dragon Age Dreadwolf has been in post-production since September 2022. However, we haven’t seen official gameplay footage of the game yet, and there’s no concrete release date or release window as of yet. Still, Darrah’s return bodes well for Dragon Age Dreadwolf.
